Refurbished Products can no longer be sold as new because have been opened, returned, or repaired.  They are re-labeled as refurbished and sold at discount.

Philips "Refurbished" products have been refurbished to Philips quality standards, and may or may not have had one or more electrical and/or mechanical components repaired.  All products are rigorously tested before being recertified.

Refurbished is NOT the same as used!  Many are simply opened or returned.  Those that have been operated are rejected if the use was significant to the life of the product.  All are guaranteed to be in excellent condition and function exactly like new.
